Jill designed and art directed On Land’s visual brand identity, print magazine, and website.

On Land is the new magazine of the Western Landowners Alliance. It is about land stewardship, featuring the voices of land stewards rooted in our common ground for the future of the West. Jill designed and produced On Land’s logos, digital and print collateral, and website and advised on all visual components for On Land.

On Land needed to feel polished and sophisticated, but remain accessible to people not as inundated in modern design. Jill used stunning photography to carry a minimal, clean aesthetic. This resulted in a magazine filled with stories and photographs ranchers providing familiarity for ranchers and a modern design that looked damn good on a coffee table.

On Land Logo

The On Land logo needed to be simple and sophisticated, as it would mostly be used overlapping large, stunning photographs. Jill designed a logo that complimented the beautiful landscapes. It is strong enough to stand alone when needed, but it doesn’t steal the show when used with images.
